Every wedding at the Vinton War Memorial is unforgettable. Its cozy parlors, outdoor terrace, portico and rolling lawn set the stage for splendor and romance. The Grand Dogwood Ballroom can comfortably host a seated banquet for 240 guests and a theater-style event for up to 350. The venue boasts hardwood floors throughout, custom chandeliers, mahogany accents and a grand staircase. Our professional staff focuses on every detail and takes pride in tailoring your wedding day to perfection.


Grand Ballroom

This beautiful space can comfortably host a seated banquet for 200 guests and a theater-style event for up to 350. This room creates a gorgeous environment for all types of special occasions as well as business functions.

North Ballroom

The larger portion of the Grand Ballroom can host a seated banquet for 120 guests, a standing-style reception for up to 150 guests, or theater-style event for up to 175. French doors open to the inviting outdoor terrace, creating the perfect setting for smaller, yet formal affairs.

South Ballroom

The smaller portion of the Grand Ballroom is perfect for more intimate or professional functions. The South Ballroom can seat up to 120 in theater-style fashion, or host a seated banquet for 60.

Bridal Suite

This room seats 21 comfortably in a boardroom setting. 32guests can be seated banquet style.

Please be advised that the capacity is roughly 150 guests for ceremony, and (a tight fit) of 200 guests for reception. Our wedding packages include exclusive use of the War Memorial building and its amenities. This means that your group will have access to the building from 9am to 11pm on the day of your event (music must end at 11:00pm with clean-up finished by 12:00am at the latest).

Access to the building the day before is dependent on your package and times are flexible. The price includes the cost of setup and breakdown by our staff, use of AV equipment including speakers, projector, and screen, access to the industrial kitchen for catering or food needs, and use of our linens and decor.

Please be advised if you plan on serving alcohol you must obtain an ABC license from VA Department of ABC. Here is the link to begin an application-

Your group or caterer are responsible for bussing tables and trash removal (there is a dumpster on site). You may use any caterer you like as long as they are licensed and insured. We can put a two week hold on your desired date with no commitment, and at the end of the two weeks we will require a $500 booking deposit and signed contract.

Food and Drink

The Vinton War Memorial offers the option to choose hassle-free packaged services that include tablecloths and napkins, floral arrangements, centerpieces, decorations, chinaware, flatware and glassware rental. We also offer a complete commercial kitchen for catering needs.
